Our Park Place Projects

Saint Francis Academy, “inspiring excellence, instilling faith since 1959”, is a private Catholic Elementary School under the auspices of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (formerly St. Francis Orphanage). The school services Kindergarten through 8th grade and is located in Union City, NJ.  Currently only an asphalt basketball court exists for the students. The estimated cost for the playground is $30,000.

Sisters Academy, in Asbury Park, NJ, is a middle school, grades five through eight, dedicated to educating girls in an academically challenging and highly disciplined learning environment. A program of Mercy Center sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, the Academy focuses on educating girls from economically challenged families in order to give them access to a private high school and college education. The play area cost is estimated at $25,000.

Lakewood Memorial Playground, built in memory of fallen Lakewood Police Officer, Christopher Matlosz in Lakewood, NJ.  Working in conjunction with a surface provider, playground equipment and installation costs are estimated at $20,000.

Jonathan Williams Plaza, Brooklyn, NY, is currently an empty asphalt lot across the walkway from a day care center that hosts an average of 150 children a day.  The Housing Authority has requested we work to fund a play area for these children, along with others in the area, to help forge a stronger social connection among the various populations that constitute this community.  The estimated cost of this project is $125,000.
